Sharks have very strong olfactory sense, this helps them detect smell of even very little amount of blood from several yards away in the water. For this stimulus of smell of blood, the shark's response is to rush in the direction of the prey to catch it. This strong smell and its response has developed throngh hundreds of years of adaptations which assit sharks to capture its its preys.

So, correct answer is 'response to environment'.
