Answer #1

This is an equation of ellipse

x-center = (-1 + 5)/2 = 2

y-center = (2-2)/2 = 0

Hence the ellipse is centered at (2,0). The elongation in x-axis is given by 2-(-1) =3 and for y-axis being equal to (2-0) = 2

Hence the equation of ellipse will be given by

\frac{(x-2)^2}{3^2} + \frac{y^2}{2^2} = 1

\frac{(x-2)^2}{9} + \frac{y^2}{4} = 1

Hence the correct answer is Option a
