The Aleutian Islands which are the volcanic island chain of 14 islands and 55 small islands are formed by converging of Pacific and North American plate. These volcanic arcs delineate the boundary between the Pacific and North American tectonic plates. here, they are all are the product of convergent associated with subduction zone which forms Aleutian trench. this subduction creates offshore volcanic chains as well as volcanoes along the edge of Alaska Peninsula.
