12 a) meosis is a type of cell division that occurs during sexual reproduction,the main purpose of meiotic division is to reduce the normal diploid cells into haploid condition.somatic cells are normal cells which contains diploid number where as in germcells genome is present in haploid form and also genome undergoes recombinations

b)meisis is important phenomenon because without this process no sexual reproduction occured in nature and also no uniformity in chromosomal number is formed.Due to meiosis genetic variations occured by a process of recombinations

13)maternal to zygotic transition is an important phenomenon, duriing this process maternal related mRNAs ,proteins are disappeared and zygotic transcriptions are initiated that leads to different protein syntheis which are required for developmental process of embryo
