If I go from a 30/70 methanol/formic acid solvent to a 90/10 methanol/ formic acid solvent...

If I go from a 30/70 methanol/formic acid solvent to a 90/10 methanol/ formic acid solvent is my solvent becoming more polar or more non polar? How does this solvent affect the seperation of esters in a solution?

The polarity of formic acid is higher than methanol. Hence with decrease in the composition of formic acid in the mixture decreases the polarity of the solvent. Since the polarity decreased, the seperation of esters in a solution increased.
