The blockage of the blood vessels with cholesterol deposition in it can lead to stopping blood flow is termed to be coronary artery disease.

Primary prevention

  • Following a healthy lifestyle
  • Daily and regular exercise
  • Diet low in saturated fats ,sodium
  • Increasing vegetables,greens,fruits , fiber in diet toreduce the risk for CAD
  • Periodic screening

Secondary prevention

  • Changes in diet
  • Taking regular medication as per advice

Teritiary prevention

  • Procedure like angioplasty,stent placement, coronary artery bypass grafting can be done to prevent complications and enhance the quality of life.
