The question is: There were two different types of thinking described in the chapter, divergent and convergent thinking. Which type of thinking do you prefer and why?

Convergent Thinking: The process of solving a problem by thinking in existed way is called convergent thinking. In this process we evaluates problem and search for what our seniors did for this same problem. We selects best solutions from history and applies to our situations and solves problems.

Procedure of Convergent thinking:

• We finds the problem
• We searches for solutions present in the history for this problem
• We selects better solution in list of solutions
• We apply that solution to current problem and solves the problem.

Divergent thinking: The process of finding an innovative solution to a problem is called Divergent thinking. In this process we never considers conventional solutions. We evaluates problems and tries to find new solution by using our intellectual ability.

Procedure of Divergent thinking:

• We finds problems
• We creates solution by thinking in all ways
• Makes little mistakes while creating a solution
• Finally we creates solution and solves problem.

Which type of thinking do you prefer and why?

I prefer Divergent thinking to solve any problem. Because we are finding solution in convergent thinking but we are creating solution in Divergent thinking. We can improve our intellectual ability by Divergent thinking. We can show new solution to conventional people. We can gain confidence by creating solution for a problem. That's why i prefer Divergent thinking.
