Foundations of psychology
The psychology is the study of the human nature and the various types of mental disorders. The main purpose of this science is to help the people to understand their behavior, correct their behavioral problems and also to treat mental disorders.
In this science, the psychologists study how the brain is working, which part of the brain is responsible for a particular behavior and how the behavior of a person can change due to damage in a particular part of the brain. It also studies how thoughts, anxieties and moods are developed. They design psychotherapies to correct cognitive disorders. They develop theories that explain how a childhood behavior manifests in adulthood. Thus they develop theories for good parenting in such a way as to create a psychologically healthy society. In the modern world, there are a lot of competitions in every field, which create stress for people which may become more than what they can tolerate, resulting in mental break down. Even the modern parenting is faced with a lot of challenges, since child care may get neglected because of the pressure of the work. Therefore psychologists and psychotherapies have a lot to do to create a blissful environment both inside and outside of every individual.
Thus it can be seen that, the psychology is the study of human mind and its manipulations. It has a lot of significance in the modern world to develop a child to a responsible citizen and to help the people reduce their stress and to lead a happy life.
