Why might "an interim organizational structure" be required during the implementation phase of a change effort? Briefly explain the two reasons.

Although in a change effort, the employees are asked to accept and implement the change effort, however, a certain structure of even interim one, gives them a sense of direction so that the change is well-guided. Otherwise, the scope of confusions and things going hay-wire, is high. Hence an interim organizational structure could help guide the change.

Moreover, such a structure may help the employees to grasp the new change in a gradual manner and thereby lesser resistance to the change effort because the employees try to adapt with the same through the interim structure that helps them get a glimpse of the change effort for a bigger permanent change in the near future.
