1. Impact of grid system

The grid system emphasizes on generating more electricity so that there is economic growth. However, this policy is arising concern related to energy security and the environment. Now, the biggest challenge for the grid policy is sustainable energy development. Without any proper action, increasing demand in fossil fuel will also increase the emissions of carbon dioxide will keep increasing more and more.

2. Impact of large shale gas reserves.

The large shale gas reserves are bringing three primary concerns for the country: the effects of the gas and oil extraction on the environment and the decline of natural gas prices and increasing carbon emissions. The environmental risks the shale revolution mainly brings is the contamination of groundwater by chemicals, radioactive and other toxic substances that are extracted during the procedure.

3. Impact of the increase renewable portfolio standards being adopted by several states

Renewable Portfolio Standards is a way to measure the increase in the production of renewable electricity. However, many researches show that RPSs is not the best policy measures for solving problems like greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental issues. But there is also other research that suggests that RPSs can successfully increase renewable generation capacity and reduce carbon emissions at a cost roughly consistent with estimates of the social cost of carbon.

4. Impact of the politicization of energy markets

Renewable energy is now taking important grounds in the market. But the renewable resources are still deprived of many tax advantages. This has threatened the country because we know that renewable energy can help in preserving natural resources. Solar, wind helped the U.S. improve its energy security. They are very cost-competitive and will continue to help the country to grow faster and better,
