a) The isomers of carvone is Carvacrol. It consists of an aromatic ring. The new functional group introduced is OH group.

The OH group will show a broad peak near 3400 cm^-1 in the isomer

The carvone shows a peak near 1700 cm^-1 due to C=O which will be absent in its isomer
