After moving through Chapter 1 of our textbook, what is a social issue/area of concern that you feel as a society we need to be thinking about from a sociological perspective (poverty, racism, crime, education, domestic violence, etc.)? What does it mean to have a 'sociological perspective'? If you'd like, you can refer to specific stories in the news (Bill Cosby rape allegations, middle-east conflict(s), global warming, illegal immigration, etc.).

Why do you think it's important that we think sociologically about the issue? What are the consequences if we do not? What does it mean to think sociologically about your mentioned topic?

How does this issue affect your life? The lives around you?

Answer #1

As a society, we need to think about all the topics which are mentioned in the brackets i.e. poverty, racism, crime, education, domestic violence. These topics ought to be rethought and necessary steps must be taken for the welfare of the humans.

We must have a socialistic perspective because we are living in a society where all human beings are following a particular rule for their lifestyles. We are following a common pattern of the society through which we can motivate other people to follow their rules and constraints. Socialistic perspective is very important in everyone's life because all the things around the people go social. A human is a social animal and he/she should follow the society rules and constraints. If we take an example of global warming, it directly affects society because of the greenhouse gases which affect the ecosystem, natural environment that can cause several diseases like diarrhea typhoid, etc. Through global warming hunger rates also increases rapidly. The global warming effect is long-lasting to the environment which has very bad effects on society and our surroundings.

It is very important to think of sociologically because we are living in a society which is a common move and we are nothing without it and global warming is the biggest problem for the world. All over the world global warming is the social issue by which all human beings on this earth are worried because of the several bad effects.

Several consequences if we do not think about the social issues is that we are the part of this society and everyone's step is important for the society as we are bind in a chain of the society so if one person takes a wrong step then it will affect other and so as to society.

My life will be too much affected because I am also one of the members of the society and the things which will affect society, will affect me also because we are in a chain.
