Glucose is burned with 80.0% excess air. The degree of completion is 1.00. the outlet gases from burner are passed through a separator that removes 66.6 % of the water from the gases. The gas stream that exits the separator, which has less water in it, leaves at 1.6 bar and 82 degrees centigrade

-Draw a community sanctioned diagram of this process.

-To what pressure must this gas be compressed at constant temperature before water starts to condense.

-To what temperature must this gas be cooled at constant pressure before water starts to condense.

A gaseous stream containing 20.0 mole% ethanol and 80.0 mole% air is to be cooled from 60.0°C to 9.65°C in a condenser at the constant pressure of 1 atm to liquefy some of the ethanol. The gas stream entering the condenser has a pressure of 1.00 atm, flows at a rate of 10.0 mole/s and, at 60°C, is well above the saturation temperature (42.4°C). As a result of the cooling, 1.75 mole/s of liquid ethanol (Tbp = 78.5°C) leaves the...
