ii. Learning of population specific dialects in juveniles

White crowned sparrows follow their own local songs called dialects. Geographically isolated sparrows have variations in their dialects pn the basis of their pitch and longevity. The young oned of the group learn the dialects from their fathers and other male companions. This leads to the development of distinct forms of dislects among populations.
