Answer #1

The correct answer is options A and C

Enzymes are proteins in the cells that regulate chemical reactions. They act as biological catalysts and are able to speed up chemical reactions. When enzymes speed up a chemical reaction, only a low amount of energy is needed for the reaction. When enzymes are present in the reaction, then it lowers the energy needed by the substrates to get converted into products and thereby increases the rate of reaction. If the enzymes are not present, the chemicals reaction would be very slow. Enzymes are unaffected by chemical reactions, so they can be re-used

All the chemical reactions occur in the living organisms are called metabolism. Metabolic reactions are divided into catabolic and anabolic reactions. In catabolic reactions, large complex molecules break down to form simpler substances. In anabolic reactions, synthesis of large complex molecules from the simpler molecules occurs. Enzymes speed up both anabolic and catabolic reactions. Almost all metabolic reactions are facilitated by enzymes.

Therefore answer is options A and C

Enzymes are used in catabolic and anabolic reactions. Enzymes catalyze both catabolic and anabolic reactions. So option b is incorrect

Enzymes are biological catalysts that speed up the chemical reaction. Inhibitors slow down the chemical reaction. So option D is incorrect
