Answer #1

35. The stage that produces the most electron carriers is: Krebs cycle. The electron carriers are the NADH and FADH molecules and when compared to other reaction, krebs cycle produces more NADH and FADH when compared to the other reactions listed.

36. density independent factor. The factor that regulates population growth is: fire. The other options are all dependent on the population density and hence are the density dependent factor. But fire being a catastrophic event is the only density independent factor which regulates population growth.

37. The stages that occur in the matrix of mitochondria is: Krebs cycle. The krebs cycle only occurs in the matrix of the mitochondria. Glycolysis occurs in the cytoplasm. ETC occurs in the intermembrane space and the matrix of mitochondria.

38. The event in meiosis that results in the separation of the sister chromatids is: Anaphase II. In anaphase I of meiosis, the homologous chromosomes are separated and in the anaphase II of meiosis, the sister chromatids are separated from each other.

39. The least used color of light as an energy source for photosynthesis is: green. The photosynthetic pathway absorbs light in the blue, violet and red regions of the wavelength and reflects the green light, the yellow light is also absorbed a little but as chlorophyll pigment is green and also plants have the tendency to reflect green light, the green light is the least used energy light source in photosynthesis.

40. Water is not produced in the light dependent reaction of photosynthesis. In light dependent reaction, the photolysis of water takes place but not the generation of it.
