In terms of chromosomes: Mitosis produces daughter cells that are genetically identical to the parent cells. The parent cell replicates it's chromosomes for splitting the chromosomes equally between the daughter cells to make sure each daughter cell have a full set. That means , the quality (genetically) and quantity (number of chromosomes) of daughter cells are identical to each other and to their parents.

In terms of cytoplasm: During mitosis, certain molecules are unequally distributed between the daughter cells. The proteins or molecules that are attached to the inner wall of the parent cells doesn't get evenly distributed. One of the daughter cell contains the attached molecules, when the parent cell divides. It's the main reason why the daughter cells are not identical to each other nor to their parent cells in terms of cytoplasm.
