Answer #1

A molecule is said to be polar if there is a slight charge seperation along the bond. Usually it polarity is found if the electronegativity between th atoms is high. In case of homoatomic molecule, all the atoms are same and have the same electronegativity and so no polarity along the bond. Thus they are non-polar in nature.

The charge seperation will be in such a way that the more electronegative atom will pull the electrons involved in the bond towards it and pocess a negative charge and the other atom gets the positive charge.

Part B, C both are homopatomic and hence non-polar.

Part A second one is the option where O has slight negative charge and C has slight positive charge.

Part D also second one is the ans where Br has slight negative charge and H has slight positive charge.
