These are generally used For virtual environment so concatenated meta volumes are recommended by EMC, striped meta is not recommended.

BIG DATA

BIG DATA can be defined as it is a collection of a large amount of data which cannot compute with the normal computer techniques or we can say that it is a giant pool of data which can only be managed by using the technology big data.

So Big data include the large volume of data and variety of data. So the data in Big data can be of Three types which are as follows:

Structured data- It includes the relational data

Semi-Structured Data - It includes XML kind of data.

Unstructured Data - It includes any data other than the above two, Like Word, PDF, Logs etc.

Big Data is really critical and very important technology right now which all the big and small companies are using right now. Big data is really impacting the society and this technology and completely changed how we used to and now how we manage our data.

Ex-FAT:

Ex-fat is a file management system and this has been developed by the Microsoft in 2006. It is world largest used file system and it is very fast and reliable as compared to other systems. Nowadays this is said to be the most used file system. It can be also used in the NTFS file format also so the EX-FAT is also compatible with the file system and the file system is very good at managing the files.

LVM:

LVM is said to be logical volume manager. This a Linux based feature in which you can manually manage the storage and if you have created a drive with a fixed file size and then you want to increase the size of the folder there comes the use of LVM. So LVM is a basically a memory volume manager in which you can increase the volume of the drive according to your need at point time. This is said to be LVM.

Gateway NAS:

Gateway NAS here NAS stands for network-attached storage. So as the name suggests user can use the cloud storage and they only see the storage which is with NAS and the gateway is used for the path between the user and the cloud. This is one of the biggest use of cloud services. Big companies Like Google, Apple, Dropbox etc this type of services for the user to have access to the storage over network/cloud. This is also useful for the business purposes.
