Answer 7:

A- Under-saturated Zone. This is the zone form where the water percolates from the surface to the sub-surface to reach the water table below which the saturated zone begins.

B- Saturated Zone: This is the zone below the water table that is completely saturated in water to form the aquifer.

C- Cone of Depression: This is the depression around the well as it is dug to reach the saturated zone. The cone of depression is due to the water getting pumped out onto the surface.

D- Draw down is the change in water level near the well due to pumping.
