ethnocentricism refers to the act of evaluating the practices and beliefs of other cultures based on ones own cultural beliefs and practices. Egocentric cultures believe that their culture is the yardstick by which all cultures should be measured. Moreover they believe that their culture is more true than anyone eles

Cultural relativism is the idea that a person's beliefs, values, and practices should be understood based on that person's own culture, rather than be judged against the criteria of another.

Cultural relativism is more accepting of other cultures while maintaining their own beliefs.

The two belief systems are polar opposites and have no similarities.
