The similarities between the Intergroup Dialogues Course developed by Gurin and the Psychology of cultural diversity courses is that they both focus on how to make the course more inclusive for groups that are diverse in nature. The techniques for engaging this kind of an experience are also similar in terms of the principles they are based on. For example the Intergroup Dialogue that is termed as IGD by Gurin is based on the principle that two groups need to be open to discussion before any collaboration could be established between them. Both these courses rely on the foundation built with trust between the two (or more) groups.
