According to information gained from (a) , unknown metal does not react with ZnSO4. It means unknown metal can not displace Zn2+ from it's salt. Hence , we can conclude that unknown metal is less reactive than zinc.

Now, from point (b) we know that unknown metal can displace Cu from it's salt. It means unknown metal is more reactive than zinc.

" Final conclusion is that relative placement of an unknown metal will be between Zinc and copper in activity series. "
