Given the nature of strategic leadership, what role does your personal faith play in supporting strategic leadership? If you are not a person of faith, then respond to the following: what role does your personal ethical commitments, character, or values play in supporting strategic leadership?

answer-

A leader's personal faith plays very important role in strategic leadership because faith holds values, beliefs,norms etc they hold in their life. This faith make the personality, behavior and leadership style of leader. as we know that strategic leadership is very important in an organization because it help leaders to inspire, enourage or influence to achieve their strategic vision and goals shared by all.

As a leader, I hold values like Honesty, transparency, integrity,truthful,fairness, respect and caring. all these values make up my strategic leadership style.

Honesty and integrity helps me to keep me transparent and truthful with my followers working for me. for example- if a follower come to me and ask me question that what weaknesses are present in him so i would give answer honestly because deceving or lying only make situation worse. answering with honesty will help follower to work on his weakness and improve them.

A strategic leader must respect their followers because respect and caring helps to build a strong relationship. when there is strong relationship and trust present than any follower will follow the leader without aksing an question.

for example- Mahatma Gandhi was a leader who looks skinny and weak but his values were noble and determination was strong. He believes in no Violence. He respect people and fight for their rights in freedom. This makes people to follow him. Not ten or hundreds but thousands of people were following him because of his values and faith in truth ad honesty.This is why India got freedom just because of such leaders with good faith and ethical values in their personality.

A strategic leader is always care about thier followers. If i were a leader of a company like Manager or CEO then i would make sure that i care for my employees in professional manner. i would provide resources, training and opportunities to grow. Caring able a strategic leader to make loyal employees.

but if i have differen values like telling lies, being dishonest, being biases etc like values then i would be setting bad example for my followers. Such leaders will not be good for employees and society.

for example- a CEO of company believe in taking or giving bribe to do business and make profit. the employess will follow such leader and involve doing bribe.

so, we can see how having personal faith plays very important role in strategic leadership.
