c) Isovolumetric ventricular contraction means that the volume in the ventricles remains the same . That means only the pressure only increases not the volume in the ventricles as it works as a closed chamber.

d) Diastole takes up more time than the systole in a cardiac cycle this is because during Diastole the chambers of heart gets filled with blood which will be ejected in the systole .

This requires time and hence Diastole is longer than systole .
