Answer #1

Solution :-

Balanced reaction equation is

2 Cr(NO3)3 + 4 NaOH + 3 H2O2 = 2 Na2CrO4 + 6 HNO3 + 2 H2O

Half reactions are as follows

Cr^3+   --------- > CrO4^2-                   oxidation

H2O2 -----> H2O                               reduction

    Calculating Theoretical Yield While making methyl 3-Nitrobenzoate during orgo lab we were asked to calculate theoretical yield and I not sure how to start correctly. We used 7.5ml of 18M H2SO4, and also 2.5 18M H2SO4 & 2.5mL of 16M HNO3. Then we added 2.1ml of methyl benzoate (d=1.09 g/ml) to the 7.5ml of H2SO4. Once that was all mixed, the H2SO4 & HNO3 was added to the H2SO4- menthyl benzoate mixture. Then we filtered it using suction filtration. (adding...

    Part I Color changes of Methyl Violet. We will study the following reaction: HMV (aq) + MV (aq) + H* (aq) yellow greenish-blue violet Step 1. Place about 4 mL of distilled water in a regular test tube. Add two drops of methyl violet indicator. Record the color of the solution. Violet Next, add drop by drop, add 6M HCI. What is the java code for this. The goal of this lab is to write two programs, Summation and Prime, that execute simple tasks. The first computes the summation of integers within a range with a gap that the user specifies. The second tests whether the integer that the user enters is a square and if not, whether it is composite or prime. Summation Let us see some execution examples first, to get the sense of how the program works....

    During lab 4, we have seen numerical implementation of Fourier Series for periodic signals. As first part of this assignment, you need to write a Matlab function that would take an array representing a single period of a signal (x), corresponding time array (t), and return the Fourier Series coefficients (Ck) in exponential form. The function should also be able to take two (2) optional input arguments: number of Fourier coefficients (Nk) and plot option (p). Use the template ‘fourier_series_exp.m’...
