Public perception of auditor is better than that of lawyers as People think that The auditors are independent in Nature and they are responsible for issuing unbiased opinion on the financial accounts.
Auditors are charged with the duty with independent examination of books of accounts and then issuing an unbiased opinion in the same which could not be influenced by the management and the company. They work in high independent environment and they follow a high level of professional ethics and professional skepticism.
Lawyers on the other hand need to save their client's Interest and work on the behalf of their clients. They are highly biased and pledged to do best as they act as the agent for their clients.
