Answer #1

Lopez argues about the topic of egg donation and its implication in life. The author feels it is unethical to donate eggs for the production of designer babies as it causes social and moral humiliation for young girls who donate their eggs. Further author argues that young women do it for obtaining money without understanding the biological, ethical and scientific issues related to egg donation by male sperms. She has totally opposed surrogate parenting and in the other sense she has appreciated the concept of deisgner babies for wealthy couples who do not have a child. She explains that it is not the scenario and situation for ordinary couples who can face social and moral humiliation at home and in society. She also discusses the court cases of family couples who fight for sperm semen samples of specific genes for obtaining designer babies but are denied samples from donation bank organizations in society. She explains the pathos by giving example of Mrs.Hect who is fighting in court for obtaining the sperm samples. There are ethical issues related to fertilization and formation of designer babies which are recommended by the costor, physician and the healthcare ethical society of many countries.
