1. Assessment of the liquidity and the overall financial capability of the target company.

2. Making a perfect team and assigning the different roles to different team members.

3. Establishment of goals and various objectives and preparing accordingly in order to achieve them .

4. The quality of information must be superior to others and it must be precise and accurate so plan doesn't fall apart and choosing an apt leader who is capable.

Overall there is no magic formula for successful mergers and acquisitions but being proactive and assessment of valuations are very important. One need to possess excellent soft skills and negotiation skills .
