In the parietal cell, when the co2 enters into the cell from blood by diffusion, it forms carbonic acid after reaction with water. This reactoion is catalyzed by carbonic anhydraze enzyme. Later the carbonic acid dissociates into a bicarbonate ion and a hydrogen ion.
