Answer #1

Fine particles are the particles which are in very small in size such as in microns and they are also called particle pollution and gets inhaled and reacts with the lung tissues and causes inflammation and leads to asthma or such related lung Diseases and even they reach to the blood stream and reaches heart to cause the heart disorders . Hence ,the fine particles or particle matter (PM) are dangerous to breath .

The particles which are in above size of 2.5 microns get entrapped by the defence systems by hair in nose and mucous layer in respiratory pathway but the particles which are less or equal to the size of 2.5 microns has the potential to reach to the lungs and causes inflammatory reactions and causes lung disorders .Hence there should be PM 2.5 standard .

We can enact such a standard because the particulate matter of 2.5 microns have the potential to cause damage and above the size of 2.5microns get trapped by the defensive systems of the respiratory pathway . The maintaining of PM -2.5 standard is mandatory for normal healthy life .
