Answer #1

Xray Findings may show the following-

1.visible visceral pleural edge is seen as a very thin, sharp white line

2. no lung markings are seen peripheral to this line

3. peripheral space is radiolucent compared to the adjacent lung

4. lung may completely collapse

5.Mediastinal shift in severe cases.

Explanation :The condition is most probably a Pneumothorax.

A pneumothorax occurs when air leaks into the space between your lung and chest wall. This air pushes on the outside of your lung and makes it collapse .Injury can cause pnuemothorax.it is a medical emergency.

It can Cause Sharp Pain,Shortness of Breath,Tachycardia,Tachypnoea,Excessive Sweating

Trachea shift to Opposite side

Enhanced breath sound over the right lung differentiates this from pleural effusion (where There is diminished lung sounds)

Immediate chest X ray confirmation and treatment is necessaryTypical findings of a chest xray pneumothrax are given above
