Macula densa is a part of juxtaglomerular apparatus that lie in the distal convoluted tubule of nephron. The sodium ion and chloride ion will stimulate the macula densa cell to increase the diameter of afferent arteriole. This is because it monitor the Nacl concentration in renal tubules. The two factors that are responsible for increased in filtration rate are increased blood pressure and volume. Also, increase in the afferent aertiole increases the filtration rate
