Yes,

The Karyotyping reveals chromosomal abnormalities, like duplication, deletion, translocation, monosomy, trisomy.

It may not find the minute changes such as missing or reoeated genetic code.

Autism disorders are not revealed by Karyotyping but a child can still have posibility to develope autism.

Microarray is better than karyotyping - For instance children who are missing a small portion of chromosome 22 will be born with DiGeorge syndrome, which can cause severe heart defects and developmental delays. In the study, a chromosomal microarray detected this missing section and diagnosed the condition, whereas a karyotype is not able to find the change.
