Question
I thought... a-c is isobaric and isothermal compression from a gas to a liquid, and c-d is adiabatic compression from a liquid to a solid.
Am I correct? If not, please can you explain the correct answer? Thanks very much.
The diagram shows a generic pVT surface of a substance. The substance is taken on a journey across the pVT surface from point a to point d via two different processes. Describe the two different processes and give details of the phase (or phases) of the substance present at each stage. Where appropriate, discuss how the relative amounts of the phases present change. [5 marks]

Answer #1

Yes you are correct. You are reading it right. For a to c read the diagram from right to left(It shows P-T diagram) and for c to d read the diagram from front view ( it show P-V diagram). Here C is vricriti point.

I need help for my Pchem lab!! Exercise 2. "Orthobaric densities" This exercise can be completed in either Excel (you can use your Excel file from Example 1 as a template), Graphical Analysis, or Mathematica. Note: If you decide to use Mathematica to create plots, make sure to label all axes, adjust plot ranges, and include plot legends as described in this handout. Introduction. The orthobaric density of a compound is the density of coexisting phases (liquid, gas, or solid)...

please I want new answer Do not copy from anyone here Six Sigma Implementations – Six Sigma is a common quality management practice used to help businesses improve their current processes, products or services by detecting the defects and find ways to eliminate them. Many successful examples by well-known companies demonstrated this methodology`s efficiency such as in Motorola, Amazon, General Electric…..etc.   In practice, these companies use one of two paths to implement six sigma: DMAIC, which contains five phases (...
