Crohn's disease is an autoimmune inflammatory bowel disease, it is mostly seen in gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus, the other organ system affected by crohns disease is osteoporosis secondry to disease itself fracture risk is greater,it weakens the bones, the cyokines (secreted by the immune system)may also help in thinning of bone, the impact of the crohns disease on whole body homeostasis, as the intestine plays important role in supply of nurients to the body , but when it is affected by crohns disease, the intestinal cells are inflammed due to autoimmune effect which results in full disturbances in homeostasis of the body(because our body every thing is conneted)likeasthma type 1diabetes etc.
