1.The steps involved for this problem in finite element analysis are :

Step 1 = first using the total potential energy formulae to solve the problem

Total potential energy = \pi = U + WP

where U = free stream velocity = \sigma \epsilon \nu / 2

WP = work potential = - ( f u )

Step 2 = on substituting the values and solving you will gsorry i et a equation

Apply principle of minimum potential energy = \partial \pi / \partial ui = 0 ,i= 1,2,3......

Step 3 = on partial differentiation you will get the required solution and values,arrange them in matrix form.

2.Sorry i don't know how to write a MATLAB code.

3.Sorry the values are not that clear to understand,so im giving solution for the same spring system with different values.(this solutionn will surely help you).
