Answer:

Culture of sterilization is day by day increasing. Consciouness of sanitation, personal and hospital hygenie is increasing in United States. A variety of nosocomial infections have been prevailing in the communities located around public health hospitals, people may get, tuberculosis, Chicken gunia, H1N1 influenza (viral and bacterial influenza), bacterial meningitides, wound infections (caused by Staphylococcus etc), other water bonre and air borne, vector mediated communicable diseases (Cholera, diphtheria, Bubonic plgue etc). Antiseptics are the compounds which are specifically act on the bacterial cell wall and inhibit their growth with certain inhibitory concentration (bleaching powder) thereby use of antiseptics, their advantageous consciouness are day by day increasing in United States to eradicate these bacterial infections. But even some of the bacteria have developing resistance against these antiseptics by their horizontal gene transfer or by transformation of its antiseptic resistant genes.

HIV/AIDS, it a retroviral infection and it can survive only in the tissue environment and blood environment. Antiseptics cannot act potentially on the viral infections as these are incapable of destroying viral capsids and their complex glycoprotein and phosphoslipid cell wall. Human immune deficiency virus can potentially integrate its genome into living cell genome and produce multiple replicons and cannot be destroyed by specific antiseptics. Thereby antiseptic treatment in HIV infected areas is completely unsuitable.

Thiomersal is a heavy metal organomercury compound that acts as antiseptic

Heavy metal ions such silver (silver oinrtment), copper suphate, mercuric oxide (as an eye ointment in eye infection) and zinc chloride (pheripheral ointments) are widely used as germicidals.
