Option C) Both A and B.

Because increased methylation of DNA would not allow polymerase to transcribe the gene and increased nucleosome will mean that the DNA is packed due to which it is not available for other proteins to interact and initiate transcription.

The statement is FALSE as malaria infect the normal shaped red blood cells while sickle cell which is caused by a recessive trait will change the shape of the red blood cell due to which malaria would not be able to infect the RBCs anymore giving the individual with sickle cell resistance towards the malaria.
