Interview was done on some Indian and Korean interview partners and the results were interpreted.

INDIA: The identity pattern of Indian partner was such that he was pretty interdependent in nature. He was more into affiliated relationship rather than Individual achievements. He was a very soft spoken and express his views without much anxiety. He made me feel that I am a known person to him. India is gradually moving forward from a patriarchal country to a country with equal gender roles and opportunities. They are very emotional in nature and are very caring about their family and peers. They use mostly emotional coping techniques to cope with conflicts and believes more in their instincts rather than logic. They have a balance between family and friends and takes marriage as a holy institutions where two souls and families gets united. Though, nowadays live in ans casual affairs are getting popular in India, yet they are not taken in a positive way by most population.

KOREA: The Korean person also showed nonverbally that he wanted to communicate but he spoke a lot less than the Indian. They are also interdependent in nature and believes more in affiliated relationship rather than Individual achievements. Gender equality is not that much prevalent in Korea as women are known to be oppressed and not given equal opportunities as men. The are not much expressive about their emotions and it is tough to interpret what they are feeling through their verbal and nonverbal languages. Koreans fear trying new things and thus talking to a stranger like me was not an easy task for them. They cope with conflicts with problem focussed mechanisms and are very long term orientated in nature which means that they strive for future and long lasting success rather than temporary success. Their romantic relationships are supportive of marriage and they have friendly relationship with their family members. Though, the lack of expressive emotions make these relationships less open than Indians.

Thus, finally it can be concluded that both countries have interdependent culture and while Indians are very expressive, Koreans are not. Koreans are much more career oriented than Indians.
