Answer #1

26. This is an example of Triacylglycerol molecules with saturated & unsaturated chains. From top to bottom, margaric-nonadecylic-oleic acid combination. This molecule mainly acts as structural component of cell membrane & stores energy & functions as a signaling molecule.

27. This molecule is called Prostaglandin (PG). This hormone plays a handful of important roles in body. It moderates contraction and relaxation of smooth muscle, the dilation and constriction of blood vessels, controls blood pressure, and modulates inflammation.

28. This molecules is Phosphatidylcholine (PC) & most abundant phospholipids in animal tissues. PC produces Acetylcholine which is important for sound brain health, it can also liver function and keep cholesterol levels in check.

I attempted to answer some of this question, but don't think I'm understanding what's needed. Chem makes my eyes cross... Liquid ammonia, NH3(l), is an ionizing solvent like water. This means that NH3(l) can dissolve many different ionic compounds and can undergo autoionization. Therefore, there can be acidic, neutral, or basic species in solutions of liquid ammonia. (a) (Write the chemical equation, using the Brønsted-Lowry perspective, that describes the autoionization of NH3(l). --NH3 --> NH2 + H- ?? (b) Identify...

questions are in red Consider the following salt solutions: (i) NH4Cl – NH+ + C- Notice that as a salt, NH,Cl dissociates completely in solution. So, what are the parents of this salt? The cation, NH, in this case, is from the base obtained by adding enough OHto balance the positive charge(s) on the cation; Viz, NH,OH. Similarly, the anion, Cl. comes from the acid. So the parent acid can be obtained by adding enough Hi to neutralize the charge...
