b= Prophase

c = Metaphase

d = Anaphase, telophase and cytokinesis

e= Meiosis I

f = Prophase I

g= Metaphase I

h = Anaphase i, Telophase I, Cytokinesis

i = Meiosis II

  • Upper part labels are that of mitosis. This is recognised by the number of cells at theend of the division. In mitosis , 2 daughter cells are formed, and by looking at the status of chromosomes, stages of mitosis can be differentiated.
  • While at the end of Meiosis, 4 daughter cells are formed, so the lower portion depicts meiosis. It has two stages, Meiosis 1 And Meiosis II.
