Answer #1

Prejudices are unreasonable negative attitude towards others who are different from us for example, the color of their skin or their ethnic background.

Discrimination is treating differently the individuals whom we percieve to be different from us and towards whom we have negative opinions or attitudes that is prejudice.

Thus, prejudice leads us to discriminate other on the basis of their color, religion, ethnic background, gender etc. This is called the Circle of Prejudice and Discrimination.

Thomas theorem states that we percieve reality according to our mindset, hence, realities are subjective than being objective. For example- we may percieve an individual who belongs to a different ethinic background to be inferior than us, though in reality there is nothing that establishes this superiority or their inferiority. Thus, our perception about a particular social situations influence our prejudices that is our opinions and attitudes or feelings towards a social situation depends upon our perception. This social perception of our or the prejudice give rise to discrimination.

Stereotypes are widely accepted false attitudes towards others who are different from us. Prejudices that are widely accepted that is when they are held by majority of individuals against others, they become stereotypes and this leads to widespread discrimination of others. Thus, this circle reinforces stereotypes of others.
