Question:

This question always comes up and I think I may have the answer but would also like to know more about. My question for a social scientist would be Why would people choose to use tobacco and alcohol when we all know its bad for us? I use this question because everyone around us knows that these are bad for you but we still choose to take action and ignore these deaths and factors and still use these things that can harm our health. Another question I would like to ask is why does our cognitive biases influences our behaviors, and how is it that we can work around to change our way of acting and thinking? Our cognitive biases are always in the way of how we think. This is what messes up our minds with precipitations of what we see and what we know.
