(males, females and or transgender, etc.), race/ethnicity (cross-section and

distribution or note if by race/ethnicity (e.g., native American, Latina, African-

American, Asian, Caucasian, etc.), or other special setting characteristics (e.g., urban

vs. rural, psychiatric outpatient vs. inpatient, prison, after-school, classroom,

university program, etc.).

2. Research and summarize briefly a) relevant statistics for suicide risk/deaths among the population you selected, b) risk factors, and c) protective factors.

3. Research and select a prevention or intervention strategy. Summarize (what is the strategy, with whom implemented, whether targeted to particular findings in terms of effectiveness, and its limitations).

4. Discussion of whether you would use the strategy and for which population/setting and why or why not. Raise any suggestions for modifications or new directions.

Males of age group 45-54 years living in rural areas, are mainly prone to suicide. Main reason for their suicidal attempts is depression. Distance from psychologists is also a reason for this. If a person consult a specialist in depression then various problems can easily be sort out.

Root cause of problems can easily be identified. According to root cause, treatment may also be provided effectively. Jealousy, unemployement, disguised unemployement, irrational anger, family despute, failures and underachievements are some of the reasons for suicidal attempts.

Males are more prone to suicide because of testosterone. This is very disturbing hormone. It causes mental unrest in its disturbed concentrations.

Meditations and yoga can be useful against suicidal mentality. Periodic consultation with psychologist is also important. Timely vacations and devoting appropriate time to job are also beneficial in this way.

Spending time with family members also provide great relief. Sensible time management and feeling of being satisfied is also very important to decrease suicidal numbers.
