First let us define change .

Change is the only constant thing in this world or universe . It is a process through which some thing or some situation or some person becomes different from the current state .

Now let us define the four types changes as per the question .

Term Definition
Smooth Incremental Change It is a type of incremental change . It is the most easiest change and it takes place with least noise . Here evolution of change takes place in a very systematic manner and in the most predictable manner .
Discontinuous Change As oppose to Smooth Incremental Change Discontinuous Change is non continuous . Here change may not be steady with an abrupt pattern or change could stop for a while and then again start or there could be a change in direction all together .
Frame-Breaking Change Frame-breaking change is a type of change where there is paradigm shift in our way of thinking , in our way of believing and in our way of doing things . So in this type of change we move from a certain of thinking , believing and doing things to an other all together different way of thinking believing and doing things .
Convergence Change This is a type of change and basically more suited to the characteristics of people or culture of people in an organization where a group of people who are working together or spending a lot of time together on a continuous and consistent basis start behaving in a particular manner . They basically become more look alike over a period of time .
