If someone gave you a single pair of sunglasses and asked if they were polaroid sunglasses, how could you find out? You are not allowed to break the glasses, remove the lenses, and you only have the one pair of sunglasses

Polarized lenses are used to reduce the light glare, produce clear contrast and protection from UV rays.

We can identify whether a pair of sunglasses are polarized or not from the following observations-

Hold the glasses, then rotate them at 60 degrees and see if the glare gets better or worse. If the glasses are polaroid then glare will diminish.

If your sunglasses are new then look for the sticker and rotate the glasses at 60 degrees.If the tag gets darker then your glasses are polarized.

Polaroid sunglasses provide crystal clear visibility and brighten colors.
