Answer #1

Giving a project presentation could be one of the toughest one can ever come across. Most of the senior leaders are impatient because of their busy schedules and they also have a lot at stakes. There are certain things that one must keep in mind before giving their best presentation.

  • Summary: Everybody will be given a time slot to give their presentation. If the time given to present the project is 45 minutes. Now, summarize the entire presentation that you are about to present in the very firs 5 minutes. This will garner the interests of senior members.
  • Expectations: Summarizing the entire project will help set expectations from the audience. Let the audience know that you would be taking the discussions forward after the presentation.
  • Live up to the expectations: The main and the most important thing that is to be remembered here is that you cannot satisfy or live up to the expectations of every audience present at the presentation. Make sure you present everything that the audience is expecting. Answer all the specific questions appropriately. This will help you build your confidence and will help you drive the presentation in your way.
