what is the prediction of the future for Rh- incompatibility
child?
Rh incompatibility- It is a condition which develops when a pregnant woman has Rh-negative (rr) blood and her baby in her womb is having Rh-positive blood.
Here the father is heterozygous Rh positive (Rr)

Based on the above allelic combinations, the child can have Rh positive or Rh negative blood. If an Rh negative pregnant woman carries a Rh positive baby, then during delivery baby’s Rh positive blood enters into the woman’s body and the mother produces antibodies against the baby’s Rh positive blood. But this will not affect the first child (the baby is born before too many antibodies are produced).
But during second pregnancy, again if she is carrying Rh positive baby in her womb, this will give rise to Rh incompatibility. The Rh antibodies from the mother will cross the placenta and attack the baby's red blood cells causing hemolytic anemia for the baby; this is a danger situation and is fatal to the child. In later stages also, if the mother carries an Rh positive baby, it will lead to Rh incompatibility, but Rh negative baby will not have any incompatibility issues.
To avoid this situation, the mother is advised to go for prenatal care and screening, if this situation arises, then take Rh immune globulin to prevent the mother’s body making Rh antibodies.

the two cream colored guinea pigs produced, in one case, 22 yellow. 47cream, and 19 white. What type of inheritance is this? II. Sex-linked Characteristics 12. In man, colorblindness, an inability to distinguish between red and green, is inherited as a sex-linked character on the X chromosome. It is recessive. If a colorblind man marries a homozygous normal woman what chance is there for the children of being colorblind? If a normal man marries a colorblind woman. where will colorblindness...

If the Rh-positive phenotype is produced by a dominant gene (A), and the Rh negative phenotype is due to its recessive ailele (a). what is the frequency of the Rh-positive allele if 84% of a population is Rh-positive? a) 0.04 b) 0.16 c) 0.48 d) 0.60 e) 0.84 Problem 4:...

Use the information below to answer questions 1-2. Leather back turtles (Dermochelys coriacea) lay 50 eggs per clutch on soft sand beaches. Let us assume that the first and second cleavage within the developing eggs is controlled by the presence of a single pair of codominant alleles, CA and C Full cleavage and development to maturity will occur if an offspring bears alleles in the heterozygous (CAC) condition. However, there is only 18% cleavage penetrance if C Cappears in the...
