Answer #1

Archaeopteryx is the missing link between dinosaurs and birds (Aves).

Among vertebrates, there is a common ancestor which evolved to give all vertebrates. From this common ancestor, first the Pisces or fishes or water animals diverged---->, then came amphibians who lived on both land and water------>then reptiles------> turtles and tuataras are missing links----> then dinosaurs including Tyrannosaurus---->some small nocturnal mammals-----> snakes-----> theropod dinosaurs like archaeopteryx gave rise to birds -----> then small mammals came from a therapsid ancestor----->primates-----> marsupials-----> placental mammals including humans.

So, the last common ancestor between archaeopteryx and humans should be the small nocturnal mammal like reptile which dwelt during Jurassic age. Its name is Thrinaxodon.

The last common ancestor between archaeopteryx and shark should be the common ancestor of all vertebrates.

And the last common ancestor between archaeopteryx and Tyrannosaurus rex should also be a reptile, most probably turtles or tuataras.
